Since our doors first opened in 2014, Scheive Dental Care has brought exceptional dentistry and service to the Glen Ellyn community. Led by Dr. Scheive, we are a group of compassionate and dedicated professionals driven by a shared passion for positively impacting our neighbors' lives.
Our philosophy is that healthy mouths are happy mouths and that smiling more leads to a better life. In line with this philosophy, Dr. Scheive crafts personalized treatment plans for each patient. These plans are designed to guide patients on their journey to a healthier mouth and achieve their smile goals.
We strive to make our dental care accessible to all by offering evening and weekend appointments and multiple financing options. Beyond dental excellence, our office provides a comforting atmosphere with modern technology, music, weighted blankets, an eye massage, a coffee bar, and a kids' treasure chest.

Dr. Colleen Scheive, DMD
A Glen Ellyn native, Dr. Colleen Scheive attended Glenbard South High School. She studied abroad in Italy in college and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Dr. Scheive earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia and was part of a mission trip to Haiti, where she provided necessary dental treatment to residents.
Dr. Scheive is an absolute dental nerd, seriously, she watches YouTube dental videos on Friday nights. She greatly values education. In 2016, she took a life-changing course on Invisalign where she was asked to be the president and mentor to her class of 30 doctors. This group has traveled together throughout North America for further training and camaraderie. Now, this group has grown into the American Academy of Clear Aligners, boasting over 5000 members. Dr. Scheive currently sits on the board and helps mentor doctors in their Invisalign journeys. This academy strives to turn the dental world upside down with a unique system of knowledge sharing and kindness.
Dr. Scheive has taken hundreds of continuing education hours in dental implants, occlusion, and tooth rehabilitations, and orthodontic clear aligner treatment. She is dedicated to a conservative approach to medicine and believes sometimes the best dentistry is no dentistry. Dr. Scheive designs individualized treatment plans based on the personal needs and wants of her patients, creating a partnership approach to health.
Colleen is a dedicated mother of three amazing children, who can often be found hanging out at the office, pilfering the ‘treasure chest’. They are also her chief artwork coordinators at the office. Outside of dentistry, Colleen loves astronomy, yoga, history, and being silly. She enjoys watching Nature and Disney movies with her kids. She values family and is blessed with supportive parents and loving siblings, all living close by. The ‘Scheive clan’ loves getting together to celebrate, laugh, and cheer on the Blackhawks.
